New HUGS Line of Premium Cannabis Launches With Three PRIDE Strains
There’s a brand new line of cannabis launching in dozens of dispensaries throughout California under the HUGS brand. The initial drop is a line of three strains to celebrate PRIDE month with $1 per jar sold in June going to the Sacramento LGBT Community Center.
The strains promise to be top-quality at a reasonable price and will not only pop up at your local Perfect Union dispensaries near you but also in several other dispensaries throughout the state of California. The strains also have amazing PRIDE-specific names. More on that in a minute.
From what I’m hearing this initial PRIDE-inspired launch isn’t all the HUGS brand has in store. They are planning a full line of cannabis flower, prerolls, vape carts, and dabable wax, resin, and crumble that should hit stores by the middle of the summer. Exciting stuff.
But for now, let’s stick to what we have all the information on. The PRIDE strains, and do they look fun.
Banana Envy (Indica)
Banana Envy has a large chunky structure and is a beautiful bright green flower that’s heavily dusted with resin glands. The draw is very smooth with a strong lung expansion.
On the pallet, the sweet banana taste is predominant and coupled with the familiar aroma of most Jealousy strains.
Rainbow Sherbet (Hybrid)
Rainbow Sherbet is a compact, colorful flower bursting with trichomes and orange pistils. On the inhale, it has a smooth intake with a moderate lung expansion.
The flavor profile possesses a sweet taste up front with a playful amount of fruit. This selection is a 50/50 balance of sativa and indica, making it great for any time of the day or night.
Same Sex Wedding Cake (Indica-leaning Hybrid)
One of my favorite strains of all-time, Wedding Cake, gets a fun, PRIDE-themes reboot as Same Sex Wedding Cake! This Wedding Cake phenotype has excellent size and dense structure with plenty of dark shades of purple highlighted with magenta.
The draw is smooth and clean and has a limited lung expansion.
This Cake variety has a traditionally sweet taste with an aroma that is reminiscent of a bakery full of pastries.
These HUGS branded strains are expected to be on shelves by June 1, just in time for PRIDE month.
