The second Blood for Buds event donor registration filled up overnight once again! The same thing happened with our first event in May in Sacramento. This popular event happens June 18 in Marysville, at Wild Seed Wellness, our co-sponsor for the event.

California’s largest cannabis retailer, Perfect Union, announced the official launch of a charitable Community Fund tied to its in-house 530 Grower flower brand today, on 5/30/21.  
$1 from every 530 Grower pre-roll purchase will be given to an organization that’s dedicated to improving people’s lives. The recipient organization will change over time. Perfect Union completed a trial of the program in May 2021 and collected $5,000 for the Last Prisoner Project, an organization dedicated to cannabis criminal justice reform.

Perfect Union presented representatives of the local nonprofit E Center with a $2,000 check to sponsor the agency’s Unsung Heroes Project, The grant will be given to outstanding teachers in Yuba, Butte, and Sutter counties.

Community outreach is in our DNA! We’re relaunched our Food Pantry Program at Northside – Sacramento as way to offer discrete help to members of the community who need help with basic necessities.

The Oak Park Neighborhood Association (OPNA) sourced $5,000 in seed money from Perfect Union to launch a new bill assistance program, “Oak Park Cares” in Sacramento, Calif. The program’s aim is to help neighbors avoid financial hardship by offering low barrier assistance with utilities and other bills.

Nothing can stop Perfect Union from recognizing outstanding employees! The 2020 Perfect Union Awards were handed out in a new way this year — surprise ambush. Watch the video to see award winners being surprised and relive the fun.

Perfect Union, a cannabis retail operation in California with 10 dispensaries, two cultivation sites and one distribution facility, in April donated $8,500 to Yolo County organizations that are creating a lasting and positive impact in the surrounding communities.

The blood mobile will be on site on Friday, May 21. Guests who donate blood will receive a 530 eighth for $.01. The sign-up list is currently full for this event.

Protecting the rights of employees in a changing industry like cannabis is important to us. Our pro-union stance and partnership with the UCFW is influencing the cannabis industry nationwide.

Community outreach is a core value for our company — it’s who we are. The “Canna Cares” article mentions a few of our initiatives, such as collecting toys for the UC Davis Children’s Hospitals Annual Toy Drive and hosting puppy adoption days for local shelters.
