With $500 worth of turkeys donated and food drives set up at our stores, we’re getting to work to help fight food insecurity ensuring families have warm, hearty meals to celebrate Thanksgiving. Marysville’s Holiday Mission with Yuba Sutter Food Bank
At our Marysville Perfect Union location we are supporting the Yuba Sutter Food Bank’s holiday food drive. We’re collecting non-perishable holiday essentials like canned vegetables, boxed stuffing, instant potatoes, and cranberry sauce. It’s easy to get involved—just stop by and drop your donations in our collection barrels! Each contribution makes a huge impact, helping to ensure families in need can enjoy a festive holiday meal.
“The support we receive from community partners like Perfect Union allows us to provide essential meals not only during the holidays but throughout the year,” says Maria Ball, Executive Director of the Yuba Sutter Food Bank. “Every contribution matters and brings us closer to a community where no one has to face hunger.”
Turkey Time in Sacramento: Gobbling Up the Good
Perfect Union Sacramento is proud to have joined the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services’ 17th Annual Turkey Drive, a beloved community tradition dedicated to ensuring no family goes without a Thanksgiving meal. This year, we donated $500 worth of turkeys, helping families facing hardship celebrate the holiday with a hearty feast.
The event, held at Cal Expo’s main gate loop on Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., saw an incredible turnout, with a record-breaking 18,002 turkeys donated! This marks a remarkable increase from the first Turkey Drive, which started with 2,766 turkeys. The community’s growing support showcases the collective spirit of giving and highlights the importance of initiatives like these.
Perfect Union is honored to contribute to this impactful effort, reinforcing our commitment to uplifting families during the holiday season. We also encourage our community to get involved by signing up for the Run to Feed the Hungry, another fantastic way to support the Sacramento Food Bank.
Shasta Lake and Morro Bay: Local Love in Action
In Shasta Lake, we’re working with the Good News Rescue Mission to collect canned and dry goods for Thanksgiving baskets. These baskets will provide holiday meals for families experiencing financial struggles.
Meanwhile, our Morro Bay location is joining the effort to support the Morro Bay Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner. With contributions of turkeys and holiday sides, we’re helping to create a warm, welcoming environment where everyone in the community can gather for a festive meal.
